The Dune Park is envisaged as a design intervention to replace the use methods which are blatantly incongruous with a coastal environment of extraordinary naturalistic and scenic value that is subject to numerous protection provisions. Various types of operations are foreseen, including the replacement of the current parking lot with an area organised for the parking of cars in terms of full compatibility with the surrounding nature and environment, the creation of a educational walkway around a typical coastal pool with specially located resting places, the recovery of an area with typical coastal dunes degraded by improper use with the fostering of developmental stages of the vegetation based entirely on natural processes, and lastly, the optimisation of the beach area via the setting up of appropriately designed removable facilities.
